John Williams - Seaman
John Williams was born circa 1824 in Ireland and enlisted on 11 April 1864 at the New York, NY Naval Rendezvous as a Seaman for a 2 year enlistment[1].
Williams was attached to the Tecumseh in April 1864 [2]. On 25 June 1864, he was admitted to Naval Hospital Portsmouth with syphilis. [3]
Williams was not aboard the Tecumseh for the Battle of Mobile Bay.
