"Tecumseh's Sole Survivor Dies"
Peter J. Parker, who died last week at Ossining, N. Y., was onboard the monitor Tecumseh when that vessel was blown up by a torpedo during the Battle of Mobile Bay in the civil war. Mr. Parker was known shortly before his death as the sole surviving member of the Tecumseh crew. He received an increased pension only a few weeks before his death.
