W. J. Mansfield - Landsman
W. J. Mansfield, Landsman, appears on the U.S.S. Tecumseh [1], [2] casualty list for the 5 August 1864 Battle of Mobile Bay. The Tecumseh casualty list in Army and Navy Journal mentions he was transfered from the U.S.S. Minnesota.
Unable to locate Mansfield on any Naval Rendezvous return from 1855 to 1864 or locate a rendezvous index card for those years for him nor find him on the Minnesota muster rolls for 1864.
