29 January 1829 - letter to SECNAV John Branch from Craven's father asking for a favor for his son

28 May 1829 - letter to SECNAV John Branch asking for orders to either U.S.S. Constellation or Ontario

27 April 1830 - Acknowledging orders to U.S.S. Boston.

12 December 1832 - Acknowledging orders of leave of absence.

2 August 1834 - letter to Acting SECNAV John Boyle asking to be detached from U.S.S. St. Louis
