Edward C. Burns - Landsman
Edward C. Burns was born circa 1836 in Ireland and enlisted on 23 November 1863 at the New York, NY Naval Rendezvous as a Landsman for a 1 year enlistment[1].
Burns' rendezvous index card lists that he was attached to the U.S.S. Kensington on 2 January 1864 and the U.S.S. Tecumseh on 20 April 1864 [2]. However his name does not appear on any Tecumseh casualty or survivor lists for the 5 August 1864 Battle of Mobile Bay, and nor does his index card list a discharge date.
